Benefits

Why should you take this course?

Once you have determined that your bone loss is likely to be excessive, or if you have experienced a low-trauma osteoporotic fracture, then the next step is to seek the causes of this unusual bone weakening by obtaining a medical workup for osteoporosis.

We know talking to your doctor can feel discouraging at times, and it can feel like you're jumping through hoops to obtain medical tests. This online course will help you learn the basics of each medical test, why an osteoporosis diagnosis would warrant obtaining each test, and what the test results mean so that you can feel better equipped to discuss your personal situation with your doctor.

Why did we create this course?

All osteoporosis has a cause.

There are a number of medical problems that can cause, or contribute to, bone loss. To better understand any undetected causes of bone loss, it is important to obtain a medical workup for osteoporosis.

Whenever a client comes to me and tells me that their doctor has told them they should take osteoporosis drugs, I always make the following comment,

“If the problem is serious enough to warrant the use of strong bone drugs, then it is serious enough to warrant an investigation into the possible causes of this supposed bone weakening.”

Many times, we find there is no real excessive bone weakening, rather just normal bone loss. Nonetheless, the suggestion, and often demand, that a woman use bone drugs offers a good opportunity for you to ask the physician to conduct a standard medical work-up searching for the causes of bone loss. After taking this online course, you'll feel better equipped to discuss these tests with your doctor.

Overview

K2 (MK-7) with MenaQ7® — Vitamin K2 in the form your body uses best.

Vitamin K2 as MK-7 activates osteocalcin, the protein that binds calcium into your bone matrix, and matrix Gla protein, which supports healthy arterial function.* MK-7 also has a much longer half-life than K1 or MK-4, so one capsule a day maintains steady blood levels instead of spiking and dropping.

Why people choose this K2:

  • New and improved with MenaQ7®: the only patented form of vitamin K2 as MK-7 with published human trials behind it.
  • Therapeutic 180 mcg dose: the level actually used in the MenaQ7® research, not a trace amount.
  • Fermented from chickpeas: naturally sourced for purity, never synthetic.
  • Supports bone strength: helps direct calcium into the bone matrix.*
  • Supports cardiovascular health: helps maintain healthy arterial function.*
  • Built to stack: vitamin D3 increases how much calcium you absorb; K2 helps direct where it goes.
  • 60-day supply: one capsule daily. Subscribe & Save takes 10% off automatic delivery.

Researchers are also exploring vitamin K2’s broader role in the body, including healthy inflammatory balance, lipid levels and glucose metabolism.

Ingredients

Serving Size: 1 capsule
Servings Per Container: 60

Amount Per Serving:
Vitamin K2 (as menaquinone-7) — 180 mcg†

†Daily Value not established

Other Ingredients: Cellulose, Hypromellose, Nu-Mag® (Rice Extract Blend)

Suggested Use

Take 1 capsule daily, ideally with food. Vitamin K2 is fat-soluble, so absorption improves when you take it with a mixed meal or some healthy dietary fat like eggs, olive oil, avocado, or nuts.

For bone support, K2 is commonly paired with vitamin D3, magnesium and calcium, so the calcium you absorb is directed to the skeleton.

Use as directed by your healthcare practitioner. If you are pregnant, or take a prescription blood thinner such as warfarin, speak with your practitioner before adding vitamin K2.
